The Grapevine and Greg Jones were proud to host New Jersey blues legend Billy Hector live in the WNTI studios in a special Friday night edition on June 23. Hector and his partner Suzan Lastovica jammed for nearly an hour to a small enthusiastic crowd in the Lackland Center. Hector, two-time winner of East Coast Rocker’s “Best Guitarist” award, discussed his musical roots dating back to succeeding Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes as The Stone Pony house band in the late ’70s.
